CNC Machinist (Experienced) - $2,500 Sign-on Bonus!

Position Summary

The CNC Machinist (Experienced) programs, sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, and CNC machining centers to fabricate high precision metallic and nonmetallic parts.

Must be able to work 1st Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm) and 2nd Shift (3:30pm – 11:30pm)

Essential Functions

  • Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
  • Efficiently set-up & operate CNC machines centers to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts in a fast-paced production environment
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as CNC Mils, CNC Lathes, and CNC Grinders.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
  • Perform major editing of Complex CNC programs
  • Efficiently program and machine Complex–High Precision Parts using CNC Machines
  • Thoroughly measure and inspect parts per engineering specifications, drawings or written instructions

Additional Duties

  • Efficiently load material and parts for un-attended machining
  • Effectively set-up additional machines to be run unattended
  • Design & manufacture advanced & complicated fixturing 
  • As assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to read and understand engineering blue prints, work instructions, control plans, and other production documentation
  • Must be able to write detailed set-up instructions, reports, and speak effectively with employees.
  • Knowledge of speeds and feeds for machining all types of materials.
  • Skilled in the use of micrometers, calipers, electronic indicators and other measurement equipment
  • Ability to apply the concepts of math: basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry
  • Knowledge of metric conversion; able to work in both Metric and English units
  • Advanced knowledge of Geometric & Dimensional Tolerancing and efficiency in Finishing Techniques
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner to meet production goals and minimize scrap

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical school or apprenticeship program in Machine Shop technology
  • Or ten or more years related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Finished Product Coordinator

Position Summary

Implement, oversee, and maintain the manufacturing of Finished Products including all aspects of the assembly, wiring, checkout, and packaging functions

Essential Functions

  • Oversight of all processes, personnel, and shop space related to the manufacturing of Finished Products
  • Ensure efficiency of all processes used in the manufacturing of Finished Products
  • Design, produce, and install manufacturing cells including fixturing
  • Develop processes, procedures, and training used in the manufacturing of Finished Products
  • Conduct training for employees as necessary related to Finished Product manufacturing
  • Manage inventory used and produced for all Finished Product manufacturing including indirect materials
  • Maintain all equipment used in Finished Product manufacturing
  • Process and schedule orders for Finished Products using the ERP system
  • Allocate and issue materials using the ERP system
  • Collaborate with the CNC, Quality, and Manual departments as well as upper management to ensure jobs for Finished Products are scheduled correctly
  • Ensure compliance with all quality procedures
  • Support customers in pre-sales consultations relevant to the manufacturing of Finished Products
  • Analyze project requirements and provide labor estimates in support of quoting and estimating
  • Build and maintain Bills of Material and Bills of Operations in the ERP system for Finished Product manufacturing

General Laborer

Position Summary

The General Laborer assists in shop activities 

Essential Functions

  • Removes burrs of excess metal from and reduces sharp surfaces of precision machined parts
  • Must be able to recognize and use hand tools such as a file, tri-blade, drill, etc
  • Operation of manual bandsaw
  • Identifying critical toleranced surfaces and to estimate material lengths for saw cutting from engineering blueprints
  • Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks
  • Removes metal chips and shavings from surfaces of machines and wipes surfaces of machines to remove excess oil and cleans around work areas
  • Operate a forklift as necessary
  • Perform custodial duties as needed in the shop and offices
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge and respect of shop safety
  • Able to perform physically demanding work, able to lift up to 60lbs. without restrictions
  • Knowledge and ability to read basic measuring tools
  • Operation of forklift and overhead crane
  • Wearing of safety glasses and steel toe shoes

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to three months of related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
